Attire: Students need to wear their WARHbotics shirts. Safety glasses and closed toe shoes are mandatory in the pits. If you have a pair of safety goggles, feel free to bring them. Typically, they have a few that you can borrow before you enter the pits but it’s not guaranteed.
Food: We will have 1 table in the concession area. I am buying 2 slices of pizza for each student for lunch. To help the kids with snacks, I am asking that each family donate 2 things no this sign up. Please use this link to sign up for snacks: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080E48ABAE23A7F58-warhbotics
Remind: Please sign up for Remind so I can send information easily throughout the day to you: https://www.remind.com/join/ag43k9
Parent Info: A few things that we learned last year:
Last year the stands were very full. If parents who are there early can save seats seats for us, that would be very helpful. I would really like our team and spectators to sit together in the stands.
We also needed parents to check in on our snacks and food table. If we aren’t competing, I would appreciate you checking on our food table and helping manage kids that are there.
Behavior: Students need to follow the First Robotics’ Gracious Professionalism standards, pit protocols, as well as the Simpson Middle School Code of Conduct. If your child is not following the expectations set for the day, you will be asked to pick up your child from the event early.
Permission slip: Please complete this and send in by Tuesday, December 3rd. https://drive.google.com/a/flatrockschools.org/file/d/1hsP-Bz9OsKrKw69epFaqWC0vfWbYueAO/view?usp=sharing
